Her life is linked to the alleged story of the chronovisor, a device said to have been built in Italy in the 1950s to photograph the past. Through books, audio cassettes, newspapers, magazines and VHS tapes, the film explores this mysterious invention. As Béatrice investigates the chronovisor, her academic interests lead her into increasingly strange and unsettling territory.
