Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival DOX 2026
Dreaming of Serenada is a personal documentary about climate change, family and belonging. When floods damage her father’s resort on Lake Victoria, Luba Mukibi Lynch begins to question what she can do in the face of the climate crisis. Living in Copenhagen, she finds herself thinking about Uganda, where she grew up, and her father’s rainforest. She reflects on her responsibilities as a daughter and as a human being, and wonders whether it is time to return to her homeland.
Katrine Weber is a Danish director-producer with a background in visual anthropology. Her character-driven documentaries explore family, womanhood and social change. Founder of FAIRFEMMES, she works internationally on documentary films and series for global distribution.
