Como Todo Mortal moves between a distant planet and one of the world’s oldest mining areas in Andalusia. On the planet, a robot searches for minerals and signs of life. On Earth, people live near abandoned towns buried beneath piles of mining waste, while scientists investigate a hidden form of life that could change our understanding of evolution. Blending documentary, flamenco and science fiction, the film explores the history of mining and its impact on people and nature. It draws parallels between Andalusia and Mars, raising questions about human exploration, the search for resources and the consequences of exploiting the natural world.
