Samaan is a young Coptic Christian who works as a security guard in a residential building in downtown Cairo. At night, he writes stories and dreams of publishing his first novel. He suffers from long-term trauma after witnessing his father’s murder by a terrorist group that targeted Christians in Libya during his childhood. Amid Cairo’s busy streets, he meets Fatimah, a young Muslim woman. Their simple encounter develops into an unusual friendship that gradually helps Samaan face his painful past and overcome the emotional barriers he has built around himself.
