A group of scientists travels through space to study the last surviving traces of life from Earth. Their artificial intelligence system, Museo, gives them access to the crew's diaries and scattered records of human history. Meanwhile, on Earth, a person believed to be the last surviving human wanders across the ruined planet. As the planet slowly recovers from the apocalypse, the story explores the remains of humanity and the possibility of a world beginning to heal.
