Synopsis :

Vanishing Tracks follows a nomadic Qashqai family living near Iran’s Zagros Mountains, torn between their traditional way of life and the attraction of city living. Their three sons, studying at a school in Shiraz and drawn to city life and digital technology, begin to question their parents’ customs. As the family prepares for its twice-yearly journey along ancient migration routes, the theft of 12 sheep sets the story in motion. Mixing realistic scenes with dreamlike moments, the film uses the wandering sheep lost in city streets to reflect the family’s struggle to find their place in a changing world.
